1987 first childrens' songs,
1997 first electric guitar
what more to say...
in all these years
1972 first own songs,
1975 first (folk-)band,
1979 second solo-longplayer,
and married
1981 second (rock-)band,
1982 songbook ("songs to survive - songs about life").
1985 a two year pause
but then there were children in the family
and they loved to listen to songs too
however children grow up -
times are changing
But how do they change?
They change in a way that today's grown-ups are willing
- again, still or sometimes -
to listen to good songs with lyrics they can understand
and which aren't boring.
(It's not normal in Germany,
because many people love to
listen
only to international music,
no matter if they can understand
the lyrics of the songs or not...)
My songs are dreams: my dreams
and the dreams that other persons
dreamed before in a foreign language.
My songs - my dreams...
- about small and grown-up persons,
about their world and their experiences, their adventures,
their fun, their success and their hardships.
- are with respect for those who dare to ask their
questions
when the answers are insufficient.
- want to show the people that I don't want to fool
them.
- want to show that inhumanity is not normal.
- are supposed to be a mirror for everyone
to find
him- or herself -
if they want to.
- should make you laugh,
easily warm up and give
shelter for those
who's endless curiosity makes them a nuisance.
- should take you along with your own fantasy.
- want to give hope to wake up from
unconciousness
with confidence.
- are sung for those who don't want to escape
from
everyday life,
but still want to change their everyday lives.
